Welcome to Driftwood Mind & Wellness. I have been in practice for the last twelve years, specializing in working with individuals struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Saybrook University with a special interest in historical and intergenerational trauma. I chose Saybrook University for my doctoral degree because of the program's roots in Humanistic Psychology, which emphasizes the individual's subjective lived experience.
Humanistic approaches to therapy emphasize your subjective experience and your ability to work towards self-actualization to realize your full potential. My approach to therapy is to collaboratively partner with you as the expert on your life, to address challenges with anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, trauma, grief and loss, and an array of other topics associated with personal growth through a strengths-based approach. I will be present with you to actively listen, provide support, and walk with you towards your path to restoring balance in your life.
I have had the honor of working with the following communities: Neurodivergent individuals, Trauma survivors from all walks of life, Native Americans, LGBTQ+, and those that are chronically underserved in accessing mental health and substance use disorder services through the lens of community-based organizations.
